At the last second, we needed our site to go up for our visitors so we chose an .xyz domain......
Recently, our Blog post on camelfrogpodcast.com has it's name robot2guides.net on it's page. However it was down to the wire when we moved to .xyz. We moved over since we couldn't find a reliable registrar for it's place for our domain. Quite expensive. Thanks to a friend of our, he gave us a donation of $5.00, another from a promotion. It got into account and it's good for purchases! Shout-out to Edward. But for this, we had Mike to help us.
We started looking for a new place to grab our Domain. The other ones we did acquire before and left it the way it was. We didn't have a good experience in finding as if it's a little tricky in our area in Canada. We tried a registrar and paid $1 to grab our domain. However, the contract was locked and we never received it. We bought an Email Package hoping for the best, then it was locked again. No hope and we lost money. We needed to go up as soon as possible so we searched again for a better service.
Then we searched again, Prices were at $20 to $1,000, soon again no hope...... and then we searched a found a registrar that had it's .xyz domain costs at a very low price.
We bought one and it did the job. We are satisfied with the result. It was ultimately a "nip and tuck" decision to choose this registrar.
We are pleased to have our site up with a cool and trusted domain also seen by my friend's dev's recently so I hope the year around will score this big. And yes, we did this after building our site. We have hosting.
